General Manager Corporate Strategy

Job Expectations

A fantastic opportunity has presented itself for a General Manager Corporate Strategy.

A bit about your role

As the General Manager Corporate Strategy, you will be responsible for owning and driving the enterprise strategic decision agenda and strategy development pipeline to deliver on nbn2030. You will shape, lead and orchestrate enterprise-wide strategy and improvement initiatives, setting and governing strategic plans and roadmaps across a 3–5 year horizon to enable transformation, operational excellence, and sustainable outcomes for the organisation.

In this role, you will bring clarity and alignment to complex strategic priorities by defining decision pathways, sequencing enterprise focus areas, and guiding high-quality decisions through ExCo and Board forums. You will ensure decisions are well-informed, clearly articulated, and transitioned seamlessly into execution, with defined success measures and tangible business outcomes.

Drawing on market, regulatory and ecosystem insights, you will strengthen nbn’s long-term positioning and ensure strategic choices are future-focused and commercially sound. You will also champion continuous improvement in governance and execution, fostering a culture where strategy is practical, actionable and embedded into everyday business rhythms.

A bit about you

You are an experienced and thoughtful leader who brings a strong track record of shaping and delivering strategy, transformation or operational excellence within complex, customer-centric organisations. You are comfortable navigating ambiguity and bring a calm, considered approach to solving enterprise-level challenges, ideally with experience in telecommunications or adjacent industries.

You lead with empathy and clarity, building trusted relationships with senior executives and stakeholders to enable open dialogue and shared ownership of outcomes. With a strategic mindset and a genuine sense of purpose, you balance long-term vision with practical delivery, ensuring strategy translates into meaningful action.

Your ability to influence, connect and inspire through others allows you to bring people together, aligning teams around a shared ambition and delivering lasting impact for nbn and the communities it serves.
