Job Description
For our Geophysical workshop, supporting equipment preparations and mobilisations for offshore survey work, we are looking for a Geophysics Workshop Technician based in Nootdorp, The Netherlands.
In this role you ensure the correct storage, preparation, shipment, and availability of geophysical equipment for offshore survey work. Next to that you are responsible for keeping track of all the equipment shipped to or back from projects using our databases for equipment. You also support workshop personnel on the equipment preparations and mobilisations of equipment to our vessels.
Your role
You support the storage and organization of Geophysical and UXO ID/C equipment.
You support equipment logistics and help the Logistics Department with proper import and export procedures.
You assist with the technical setup and preparation of equipment in the workshop.
You contribute to workshop organization, housekeeping, and maintaining a safe working environment.
You support administrative tasks by organizing documents online and keeping them up to date.
You help maintain accurate equipment records in the relevant databases.
You assist with registering and assetizing new equipment.
You help ensure that all equipment sent or received is compliant with documentation, invoices, and packing lists.
You support the optimization of processes related to equipment storage, handling, and shipping.
You collaborate closely with workshop colleagues to support day‑to‑day operations.
Your track record
You have completed a vocational education and have experience in logistics, technical support, or a related discipline.
Experience or affinity with geophysical equipment, marine survey equipment, or technical instrumentation is considered an advantage.
You have a proactive attitude and are willing to examine and improve existing processes.
You are committed to delivering work on time and to a high standard of quality.
You have a positive, optimistic mindset and enjoy working collaboratively in a team.
You have good communication skills and an excellent command of English, and preferably Dutch (spoken and written).
