Resource Strategies seeks a Geospatial Analyst to support projects with accurate spatial information and clear geographic outputs, based in Milton, QLD.

Responsibilities
<\/div>
<\/div>
Develop and maintain spatial datasets with high integrity that can be relied upon by our team, technical specialists, clients and regulators, and communicate spatial and other graphical information accurately, aesthetically and clearly. Oversee CAD/GIS layer development and mapping, engage with project teams to define data needs and desired outputs, and ensure data integrity through regular QA/QC and disciplined dataset management.

Duties and responsibilities
<\/div>
<\/div>
Perform CAD/GIS data layer development and mapping.
<\/div>
<\/div>
Produce detailed, high\-quality cartographic products (digital and hardcopy).
<\/div>
<\/div>
Communicate with project teams to define data needs, requirements and desired outputs.
<\/div>
<\/div>
Compile, manipulate and refine geographic data from aerial photographs, existing maps and authoritative online sources.
<\/div>
<\/div>
Perform regular QA/QC of GIS and related databases to ensure data integrity.
<\/div>
<\/div>
Manage GIS datasets with clear naming, filing and archiving protocols.
<\/div>
<\/div>
Carry out routine CAD/GIS maintenance; perform conversions, queries, mapping and area calculations.

Qualifications and experience
<\/div>
<\/div>
<\/div>
<\/div>
Relevant bachelor\u2019s degree (or higher) in a spatial discipline.
<\/div>
<\/div>
At least 2 years of relevant post\-qualification work experience.
<\/div>
<\/div>
<\/div>
<\/div>
Skills
<\/div>

Spatial data acquisition and governance; operation of spatial information systems; cartographic design and communication; data evaluation and reporting
<\/div>
