About the Role<\/span><\/b>
<\/p>

An excellent opportunity exists\nfor a Geotechnical Engineer to join our Rockhampton office and work in a\nmulti\-disciplinary, professional environment driven by excellence and\nexperienced in successful practical and innovative engineering applications. Working\nclosely with the Project Manager, you will help manage fieldwork, supervise the\ndrilling team and ensure projects are delivered safely and to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities<\/span><\/b>
<\/p>

\u2022 <\/span><\/span>Plan, direct and conduct survey and field investigation\nwork to analyse the likely behaviour of soil and rock when placed under\npressure by proposed structures
<\/p>

\u2022 <\/span><\/span>Design above and below ground foundations based on\ngeotechnical investigation findings
<\/p>

\u2022 <\/span><\/span>Investigate site conditions and assess the engineering\nproperties of soil and rock
<\/p>

\u2022 <\/span><\/span>Carry out in\-situ field testing, sampling and logging\nof soil and rock at project sites
<\/p>

\u2022 <\/span><\/span>Conduct field analysis and prepare technical reports on\ninvestigation results
<\/p>

\u2022 <\/span><\/span>Supervise and work alongside the drilling team to\nensure field data is accurately collected
<\/p>

\u2022 <\/span><\/span>Monitor site activities and ground conditions\nthroughout fieldwork
<\/p>

\u2022 <\/span><\/span>Travel to multiple job sites across the region to\nundertake site investigations
<\/p>

\u2022 <\/span><\/span>Ensure all fieldwork is conducted safely and to a high\nstandard of quality
<\/p>

\u2022 <\/span><\/span>Complete required safety and quality documentation on\nsite and submit it as necessary
<\/p>

Experience<\/span><\/b>

\u2022 <\/span><\/span>At least 2 years of experience in the geotechnical\nfield, demonstrating practical application of knowledge

\u2022 <\/span><\/span>Demonstrated experience in fieldwork and site\nsupervision
<\/p>

\u2022 <\/span><\/span>Experience preparing field analysis and reports
<\/p>

\u2022 <\/span><\/span>Experience working with clients and project teams

Qualifications<\/span><\/b>
<\/p>

\u2022 <\/span><\/span>Tertiary qualification in civil or geotechnical\nengineering
<\/p>
