Gibson Hall Team Member

POSITION PURPOSE:

The Gibson Hall Team Member will monitor access to the Student Center by scanning Navarro College ID’s before granting admission to the facility. This position will also assist with programs being held in Gibson Hall, as well as cleaning, sanitizing, maintaining, and organizing equipment and facilities.

GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Monitor access to the student center.
  • Issue equipment to be used by participants and keep track of inventory.
  • Upon return of equipment, check condition of equipment to ensure that it has not been damaged.
  • Housekeeping and maintenance of facilities and equipment.
  • Be prepared and organized.
  • Maintain a safe and controlled environment; identify hazardous conditions and eliminate or minimize them.
  • Must adhere to posted job schedule.
  • Must be punctual when reporting for duty.
  • Must dress appropriately.
  • Additional duties as assigned by management.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Ability to self-motivate with little or no supervision.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Flexible schedule (morning, night, and weekend).

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Variances from regular working hours may be necessary to fulfill the responsibilities of the position.
  • Busy working environment with numerous interruptions.

SALARY: $8.00 per hour / up to 19 hrs per week
