Global Conferencing & Events – Program Transformation & Event Technologist

The Program Transformation & Event Technologist Director is a critical role within Global Conferencing & Events (GCE), responsible for leading the Firm’s event technology strategy, attendee data management, and process transformation initiatives. This role ensures that the GCE platform is scalable, standardized, and aligned with the Firm’s operational, financial, and experience objectives.

This role sits within Corporate Services – Facilities Amenities and is responsible for enabling the successful transition of an expanded global book of work onto a centralized event platform. The Director will serve as the lead Event Technologist, driving integration across core systems while enhancing data visibility, operational efficiency, and the attendee experience.

What you’ll do in the role:

  • Serve as the lead Event Technologist and Cvent Administrator, owning and optimizing the global event technology ecosystem across GCE, including Cvent (registration and reporting), Concur (expense and group booking), and Amex GBT (group air), ensuring seamless integration, data integrity, and scalable platform governance.

  • Lead end-to-end attendee data strategy and management, establishing standardized governance, reporting frameworks, and leveraging platforms to drive actionable insights and operational decision-making.

  • Provide primary oversight for complex events requiring advanced registration builds, attendee hubs, and on-arrival management, ensuring a seamless and high-quality attendee experience.

  • Lead the transition and integration of an expanded global book of work onto the GCE platform, standardizing tools, processes, and data structures to support increased scale, complexity, and managed service delivery, with a focus on attendee data management.

  • Drive event lifecycle process optimization, redesigning workflows from registration through post-event closeout to improve efficiency, enhance the attendee experience, and reduce manual intervention through automation and standardized SOPs.

  • Re-engineer financial processes across the event lifecycle, including expense tracking, reconciliation, and closeout, enabling timely settlement, improved visibility into spend, and alignment with firm controls and policies.

  • Partner with strategic vendors and internal stakeholders to align technology, data, and processes—ensuring successful adoption of the operating model and positioning the role for progression into event portfolio (book of work) ownership.

What you’ll bring to the role:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.

  • 3+ years of experience in event operations, program transformation, corporate services, or a related field.

  • Experience working with event technology platforms (Cvent preferred; exposure to Concur and Amex GBT a plus).

  • Strong understanding of attendee data management, reporting, and process optimization.

  • Familiarity with financial processes, reconciliation, and expense tracking in an events or operations environment.

  • Strong organizational, analytical, and stakeholder management skills with a focus on data accuracy and operational discipline.
