Your Role and Responsibilities
Kickstart your career with purpose. As part of ABB’s Global Early Talent Program in Finance, you won’t be observing—you’ll be contributing from day one.
You will be based in Rotterdam, within our Marine & Ports division, where innovation and sustainability come together. Here, you’ll work on solutions that prepare ports and vessels for the energy transition—combining technology, business, and impact in a truly international environment.
The program starts 01.10.2026 and consists of three rotations designed to accelerate your growth:
- Nine months in your home country to build your foundation
- Six months abroad to expand your perspective and international network
- Nine months back home to deepen your expertise and transition into your next role
Throughout the program, you will follow a structured leadership development journey and start shaping your long-term career within ABB.
What you will be doing
- Taking ownership of monthly controlling and financial reporting activities
- Analyzing performance and profitability across business lines
- Supporting decision-making with financial insights for management
- Contributing to budgeting, forecasting, and planning processes
- Performing cost and margin analysis on projects and products
- Improving data transparency through dashboards and reporting tools
- Collaborating with stakeholders across teams and countries
We will challenge and support you to step outside your comfort zone and continuously develop your skills.
Qualifications for the Role
- A recent graduate (preferably Master’s level) in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field
- Some exposure to finance or controlling is a plus
- Fluent in English; additional languages are an advantage
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work with different stakeholders
- A strong interest in data, analysis, and problem-solving (Excel required)
- Experience with Power BI or similar tools is a plus
- Curious, proactive, and open to learning
- Comfortable working in international and diverse teams
