Go-To-Market Lead
Why Work Here
đȘ Small, Profitable, and Freshly Funded
The most enduring productsâCanva, Figma, Notionâtook years to get right. Weâve taken the same path: stayed lean, grew through a passionate community, and tackled the hard technical problems others skipped.
Now weâve raised $8M+ from top-tier investors with the capital and conviction to swing big. Youâll join as one of our first engineers, with real ownership and a direct hand in shaping the product and culture from the ground up.
â€ïž Customer Love
Butter powers over 17,000+ brands, creators, and agencies and we've grown purely through word of mouth. People donât just try Butter â they use it daily and tell people about it. You'll be joining as we enter our next stage of growth.
đš A Team That Ships
We care deeply about the product experience and release weekly. We bring decades of experience building at Figma, Headspace, Meta, and Cruise. Now weâre focused on one thing: redefining what creative software can be.
đ World-Class Mentors
Weâre backed by founders and leaders from OpenAI, Anthropic, Shopify, Notion, Airtable, and The Browser Company. Theyâve built the products we admire most and now theyâre helping us build ours.
About the Role
As our Go-To-Market Lead, you will be one of the early leaders building our external growth engine. You'll help build the next generation of creative software at the frontier of video editing, computer graphics, and AI. Your mission is to turn organic love into a scalable growth engine â without losing what made people love Butter in the first place.
To date, Butter's growth has been primarily organic and product-led. Now weâre looking for a lead to build structure around it. You'll own partnerships, creator and affiliate programs, paid experimentation, and distribution-led integrations. You'll decide where we invest, build the systems to support it, and hold every channel accountable to ROI.
Domains You'll Own
Channel strategy · Creator and affiliate programs · Partner relationships · Paid experimentation · Channel-level ROI
Overall, You'll:
Structure a distribution partnership with a design marketplace or creative tool that puts Butter in front of the right audience.
Identify the 2â3 channels actually worth scaling and killing the ones that aren't.
Build a lightweight attribution model so we know what's working before we double down.
You might be a fit ifâŠ
You've built programs that scaled beyond a single campaign â not just launched them, but made them run.
You're comfortable modeling CAC, LTV, and payback, and you use those numbers to make decisions, not decks.
You have strong judgment around brand and positioning â you understand that how we show up matters as much as where.
Want to Apply?
Butter is a well-funded, ambitious team rethinking what creative tools can be. Weâre remote-first and distributed, with optional offices in Los Angeles and Toronto. If this sounds like your kind of challenge, weâd love to hear from you.
