Mirror Lake Golf Club, managed by Bobby Jones Links, is seeking a knowledgeable, organized, and hands-on Golf Course Equipment Mechanic to oversee the maintenance, repair, and operational readiness of all golf course maintenance equipment. This position is ideal for a technically skilled professional who takes pride in maintaining equipment to the highest standards and enjoys working as part of a collaborative team dedicated to exceptional course conditions.

The Equipment Mechanic plays a critical role in supporting the Agronomy Department by ensuring all equipment operates safely, efficiently, and reliably. This individual will develop and manage a comprehensive preventative maintenance program, perform diagnostics and repairs, maintain cutting units to factory specifications, and help maximize equipment performance and longevity.

Primary responsibilities:

  • Manage and execute all maintenance and repair activities for golf course maintenance equipment.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive preventative maintenance (PM) program.
  • Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and engine-related issues and perform timely repairs.
  • Maintain all mower cutting units and reels to manufacturer and factory specifications.
  • Coordinate repair priorities and equipment needs with the Golf Course Superintendent.
  • Monitor equipment performance and recommend replacement when repair is no longer cost-effective.
  • Maintain accurate service records and maintenance documentation.
  • Manage parts inventory and ensure adequate stock of critical replacement components.
  • Support budget management by controlling repair costs and maximizing equipment lifespan.
  • Train and assist staff in proper equipment operation, cleaning procedures, and safety practices.
  • Ensure compliance with workplace safety standards and equipment operating procedures.
  • Provide support to agronomy operations as needed, including occasional weekend work.
