Grounds Assistant

SCOPE:

Relates to maintenance work necessary to maintain Authority buildings, grounds and equipment.

ACCOUNTABILITY:

Directly responsible to Director of Technical Services.

EXAMPLES OF WORK PERFORMED:

Performs general yard, lawn or grounds maintenance duties including, but not limited to, grass cutting, edging, fertilizing, etc.; cultivating yards, shrubs flower beds; trimming shrubs; watering lawns, shrubs, flower beds; cutting, rolling, tamping and laying sod; building fences and working concrete; cleaning out vacant units; picking up and hauling trash and heavy loads; removal of ice, snow and trees. Operates heavy duty equipment related to above activities including up to 2 1/2 ton dump truck.

Evaluates assigned tasks and satisfactorily completes work assigned with minimum supervision.

Available for night and weekend Duty.

Performs other duties as assigned.
