Role: IFRS Group Accounting & Reporting Specialist

Location: London – Hybrid – 4 days/week onsite

As the IFRS Group Accounting & Reporting Specialist, you'll work closely with finance teams across multiple countries, supporting the application of IFRS standards and contributing to key group reporting activities. This is an opportunity to gain broad exposure across an international organisation, partnering with stakeholders across Business Finance, Accounting, FP&A, HR, and external audit while helping to drive consistency and excellence in financial reporting.

If you enjoy solving complex accounting challenges, influencing stakeholders, develop and conduct accounting training for Galderma associates and working in a collaborative international environment, this role offers both technical depth and broad business exposure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the preparation of consolidated annual and interim financial statements in accordance with IFRS, ensuring compliance with IFRS and regulatory requirements
  • Assist with the application of IFRS to complex transactions, including share-based payments, financial instruments and hedge accounting, revenue recognition, segment reporting, impairment testing, acquisitions, divestitures, restructuring, and leases
  • Independently manage Galderma's share-based payment accounting administration, including quarterly calculations in accordance with IFRS 2 and local accounting standards (particularly Swiss accounting standards), working closely with Group FP&A, HR, and other relevant stakeholders
  • Independently manage IAS 19 pension accounting and coordinate Group-level reporting
  • Independently prepare the annual impairment test in accordance with IAS 36
  • Prepare accounting memoranda in accordance with IFRS and support the ongoing maintenance and development of the Galderma Group Accounting Manual and accounting policies
  • Support the Consolidation Team in the monthly consolidation process and reporting to the Group CFO
  • Act as a key point of contact for local and Group finance teams on IFRS accounting, reporting, and consolidation matters
  • Develop and deliver accounting training to finance teams across the organisation
  • Support special projects, including mergers and acquisitions, system migrations, and process improvement initiatives
  • Coordinate with external auditors throughout audit processes
  • Regular travel within Europe

Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in accounting, finance, or related field
  • CPA, ACCA, CA, or equivalent professional accounting qualification
  • Minimum 7-10 years of experience in group accounting/consolidation roles in multi-national or global setting, accounting advisory or audit in Big 4.
  • Advanced knowledge in IFRS accounting and reporting is required, particularly IFRS 2, 3, 8, 9, 15, and 16 as well as IAS 12, 19, 36, 37, and 38.
  • Knowledge of consolidation tools is an advantage
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • High attention to detail and ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken); additional languages are an advantage
