Growth Leader – Middle Market

Role Summary/Purpose

We are currently seeking a Growth Leader whose primary responsibility is to sell, retain and grow water treatment/process chemicals business in Middle market corporations

Strategic Planning and Market Development

  • Define Growth Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy specifically targeting the Middle Market segment to ensure retention and market share growth in the South Asia Region.

  • Market Analysis and Intelligence: Continuously monitor market trends, competitive strategies, and new technologies in water treatment. Maintain and update market search and sales reports to inform strategic decisions.

  • Opportunity Generation: Identify, develop, and maintain a healthy pipeline of opportunities by connecting with potential and existing customers.

  • Product and Technology Interface: Act as the key interface with technology and product management groups to ensure product offerings are aligned with specific market requirements and customer needs.

Sales Execution and Performance Management

  • Revenue and Margin Accountability: Be directly responsible for delivering the target top line revenue and gross margin for the assigned region.

  • Value-Based Selling: Ensure the team sells value and solutions (e.g., process chemicals) rather than merely commodities. Define clear Return on Investment (ROI) models for customers.

  • Customer Relationship Management: Oversee and conduct regular visits to key and potential customers to maintain strong, long-term relationships.

  • Order Execution: Ensure the technical aspects of order execution are handled correctly, interfacing with internal departments like engineering, operations, and finance as needed.

Leadership and Team Development

  • Team Motivation and Coaching: Lead, motivate, and coach the sales team to work on new inquiries, complex negotiations, and maximize sales development within existing accounts.

  • Talent Development: Take overall responsibility for the development and training of the sales team, enhancing their capability to meet growth targets.

  • Cross-Functional Alignment: Coordinate with marketing for promotional events and campaigns, and collaborate effectively across all internal departments (engineering, customer service, purchasing, etc.) to ensure seamless execution and customer satisfaction

Qualifications / Requirements

  • BE/B. Tech (Chem) or Science post graduate from an accredited university or college

  • Minimum of 10+ years of experience in Sales Origination

  • Minimum of 8+ years of experience selling water treatment chemicals in chemical industries.

  • Industry knowledge and application knowledge

Ability and willingness to travel up to 40%
