GSA - Food & Beverage
We are seeking a dedicated and customer-focused Guest Service Associate (GSA) - Food & Beverage to join our team in Mercure Hyderabad KCP, India. As a GSA, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional dining experiences to our guests while maintaining the highest standards of service and efficiency.
- Greet and escort guests to their tables, ensuring a warm and welcoming atmosphere
- Take food and beverage orders accurately, demonstrating thorough knowledge of menu items and daily specials
- Serve food and beverages promptly and professionally, adhering to service standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including table settings and side stations
- Process payments and handle cash and credit transactions efficiently
- Upsell and promote food and beverage offerings to maximize revenue
- Respond promptly to guest inquiries and concerns, ensuring customer satisfaction
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate food preparation
- Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards (HACCP) at all times
- Assist in opening and closing procedures of the restaurant
- Support other Food & Beverage outlets during peak times or as required
- Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and briefings as scheduled
- Minimum of 1 year experience in hotel operations or food and beverage service
- Strong service-focused personality with excellent interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Thorough knowledge of food and beverage service standards and procedures
- Understanding of food safety and hygiene standards (HACCP)
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Basic math skills for handling financial transactions
- Ability to memorize menu items and make recommendations to guests
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Proficiency in using point-of-sale (POS) systems
- Relevant degree or diploma in Hospitality or Tourism Management (preferred)
- Additional language skills are a plus
