Guest Lab Instructor

Job Summary

The Guest Lab Instructor is a lead technologist or senior clinical staff member from an affiliated clinical site who provides on-campus, hands-on laboratory instruction to students. This role supports skill development, reinforces clinical best practices, and strengthens collaboration between the institution and clinical partners.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide hands-on instruction during scheduled on-campus lab sessions
  • Demonstrate clinical techniques, workflows, and best practices relevant to student training
  • Support students by answering questions and reinforcing safety and quality standards
  • Collaborate with Program Directors and Clinical Coordinators to meet lab objectives
  • Maintain professional conduct consistent with institutional and clinical site standards


Qualifications

  • Current lead technologist or senior technologist at an affiliated clinical site
  • Actively involved in training or supervising students at the clinical site
  • Strong communication skills and ability to teach in a lab environment
  • Recommendation from a Clinical Coordinator or site leadership


Time Commitment

  • One or more single-day lab teaching sessions, scheduled as needed
  • Lab sessions are typically held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.; however, guest lab instructor hours may be flexible, with a minimum commitment of four (4) hours per session.
