Haptics FEA Engineer

The ultimate responsibility of this role is to enhance our understanding of complex physics, which includes building accurate FEA models that empower the design team to uncover design weaknesses during concept development, or identifying root cause to engineering failures when physical measurement is challenging. Minimum Qualifications Minimum requirement of a bachelors degree Experience in Finite Element Analysis (FEA) Familiar with Abaqus, ANSYS, COMSOL, or other FEA tools (Abaqus preferred) Experience in analysis that involves non-linear materials and boundary conditions Strong engineering fundamentals in solid mechanics, dynamics, and fracture mechanics Proficiency with statistical data analysis and data visualization Experience with 3D CAD (NX preferred) Team-oriented with excellent written and verbal communication skills Preferred Qualifications Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field Project experience in consumer electronics products design Design and/or research experience with haptic technologies Experience with automating FEA model creation workflows Experience with using AI tools to accelerate scripting Proficiency with data analysis tools (JMP, MATLAB, Excel, etc) High volume mass production experience Experience in material modeling and digital image correlation Experience with commercial preprocessing softwares such as Hypermesh, Simlab, and ANSA
