Hardware Engineering Section Manager

Position Summary

The Product R&D Section Manager (Delivery Lead) is accountable for the end-to-end success of product delivery within a defined product area. This role sits at the intersection of execution, coordination, and stakeholder management, serving as the central point of alignment across business, engineering, and operations to ensure products are delivered on time, within scope, and to the required quality. In addition, the role is responsible for product health, continuous improvement, new technology introduction, innovation, and customer escalation management. The Delivery Lead establishes the operating structure, discipline, and support needed to drive predictable execution, maximize business value, and sustain long-term product success from concept through end-of-life (EOL).

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Own end-to-end product delivery success across schedule, scope, cost, quality, and lifecycle readiness from concept through end-of-life (EOL)
  • Lead execution across multiple programs spanning new product development (NPD), new technology introduction (NTI), early product definition, and product health
  • Partner with Product Architects and Product Managers to shape differentiated roadmaps and deliver business outcomes
  • Lead issue resolution, risk management, and customer escalation handling across the product area, balancing near-term delivery needs with long-term product strategy
  • Drive strong operating discipline and predictable execution across programs by aligning R&D, operations, and business teams
  • Align development with NI platform architecture and ensure integration with the NI software ecosystem, including LabVIEW, drivers, etc. to meet market and ecosystem needs
  • Lead delivery of Automotive Interfaces products supporting applications such as HIL, validation, and ADAS
  • Support innovation and continuous improvement to strengthen product competitiveness, scalability, and long-term value creation
  • Influence outcomes effectively in complex, cross-functional, and high-stakes situations

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or equivalent
  • Significant experience in test and measurement product development or related complex technology environments
  • Experience leading complex programs and influencing cross-functional teams in a matrix environment
  • Strong stakeholder management, decision-making, and execution capabilities

Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:

  • Familiarity with NI platforms (PXI, cRIO, DAQ, modular instruments etc.)
  • Experience in Automotive systems (HIL, validation, ADAS etc.)
  • Track record managing product portfolios or platforms
  • Experience leading global teams
  • Proven success developing senior talent
