Hardware Execution Engineer

Based at our St. Louis, MO iCenter, as a Hardware Execution Engineer, you'll support the successful execution of automation and control system projects by coordinating, designing, and delivering system hardware packages that meet quality, schedule, and customer expectations.
In this role, you will work closely with project engineers, project managers, and cross disciplinary teams to support system hardware design, network architectures, and project schedules across a portfolio of projects. Your primary focus will be enabling the timely, accurate execution of hardware deliverables, helping ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.

Coordinate and support system hardware design activities across multiple projects, ensuring alignment with project scope, schedules, and quality requirements.
Support the development and execution of hardware packages, including system hardware designs, network architecture, control panel layouts, wiring and schematic drawings, and device selections.
Collaborate with project management, engineering disciplines, and customer stakeholders to plan work, manage interfaces, and support on time delivery of project milestones.
Assist with the setup, configuration, and checkout of control system hardware, computer systems, and industrial networks.
Participate in system integration, testing, and validation activities, including hardware testing and factory acceptance testing.
Identify and help resolve technical or schedule challenges through coordination, documentation, and clear communication.
Support customer‑facing activities such as hardware design reviews, layout discussions, and acceptance testing.
Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by supporting updates to engineering tools, processes, standards, and documentation.
Gain exposure to multiple engineering disciplines and project phases while supporting senior engineers and project teams.
You communicate clearly and effectively across teams, disciplines, and experience levels. You anticipate needs, follow through on commitments, and contribute positively to shared project goals. You approach challenges thoughtfully, working through problems that may not have a single clear solution while maintaining focus on safety, quality, and delivery. - Bachelor’s degree in engineering, similar STEM degree, or a combination of experience and education will be considered.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience supporting industrial automation, control system, or electrical engineering projects
Experience supporting industrial automation, control systems, or electrical engineering projects in a plant, project, or execution environment.
- Experience with Distributed Control Systems (DCS) or PLC based systems and electrical design for projects
Ability and willingness to travel up to approximately 25% to support testing, commissioning, or customer activities as needed.
- Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering
- Preferred 5+ years of related experience
- Experience with designing or troubleshooting control system networks
- Experience with Ovation Distributed Controls Systems
- Familiarization with applicable industry codes and processes
- Experience in producing Electrical Engineering Design deliverables
