Hardware FPGA Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Hardware FPGA Engineer to support the development of next-generation instrumentation and semiconductor test systems. In this role, you will be responsible for the specification, design, and verification of hardware and FPGA solutions, working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-performance and reliable test platforms for company’s global customers.

Key Responsibilities

· Define hardware architecture and design schematics based on marketing or end-user requirements

· Collaborate with experienced hardware designers on complex system design and development

· Perform bring-up of first prototypes and troubleshoot complex hardware issues (e.g., noise, accuracy, bandwidth, jitter)

· Design, develop, and integrate FPGA modules embedded within instrumentation systems

· Conduct FPGA simulations and ensure robustness through non-regression testing

· Perform hardware characterisation activities depending on project scope

· Work closely with software, firmware, and FPGA teams to ensure seamless system integration

· Contribute to a multidisciplinary engineering team (hardware/firmware/software) operating in an agile development environment

Requirements

· Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics Engineering, FPGA Engineering, or a related discipline

· Strong interest in hardware and FPGA design for complex electronic systems

· Curious, rigorous, and detail-oriented, with a passion for solving challenging technical problems

· Motivated to continuously learn and develop new areas of technical expertise

· Strong team player with the ability to collaborate effectively in a global environment

· Comfortable working in an international context, with occasional business travel

Optional:

· Experience in instrumentation, semiconductor test, or ATE environments

· Hands-on experience with FPGA tools (e.g., Xilinx, Altera/Intel)

· Familiarity with high-speed design, signal integrity, or embedded systems

· Exposure to lab bring-up, validation, and hardware debugging tools (oscilloscope, logic analyzer, etc.)
