Hawker (Wanton Mee)
Job Summary
Assist in the daily operations of a Wanton Mee stall, including food preparation, cooking support, order taking, customer service, cashiering, and maintaining cleanliness and food safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients such as noodles, vegetables, char siew, wantons, and sauces.
- Cook and assemble Wanton Mee according to established recipes and standards.
- Take customer orders and process payments.
- Serve food promptly and courteously.
- Replenish ingredients and supplies throughout operating hours.
- Maintain cleanliness of the stall, equipment, and work areas.
- Follow food hygiene and safety regulations.
- Assist with opening and closing duties, including stock checks and cleaning.
- Handle customer inquiries and feedback professionally.
Requirements
- Prior experience in hawker stalls, food service, or kitchen operations is an advantage.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
- Physically fit and able to stand for extended periods.
- Basic food hygiene knowledge; food hygiene certification preferred.
- Willing to work weekends, public holidays, and flexible shifts.
Preferred Qualities
- Passion for local hawker food.
- Ability to prepare noodles and simple cooking tasks independently.
- Friendly and customer-oriented attitude.
Working Conditions
- Location: Hawker Centre / Food Court
- Working Hours: Shift-based, including weekends and public holidays
