About the opportunity

The University of Sydney is currently seeking to appoint a Head, External Partnership and Engagement who will join the leadership team of the Faculty of Engineering.

In this dynamic role you will:

  • develop and drive the Faculty’s external engagement and industry partnerships, translating university objectives into sound operationally aligned plans for the Faculty and Schools

  • lead the Faculty’s business development strategy operating model design

  • provide innovative leadership and implement initiatives and projects that will strengthen ties between key external stakeholders and the Faculty

  • engage with University stakeholders to deliver on key Faculty objectives and for achieving seamless interaction with our external stakeholders.

About you

  • demonstrated experience in developing and implementing engagement strategies that deliver quality outcomes

  • demonstrated experience in the supervision, training, mentoring and performance management of staff; experience in formal change management and proven ability to resolve a diverse range of HR issues

  • experience in mapping, negotiating and managing successful partnership agreements

  • extensive experience working with industry on a range of partnership activities

  • ability to lead through change, pivot and be agile in response to emerging Faculty priorities.
