Head of Digital Engagement
Stewardship Commons (stewardshipcommons.com) is our crowdsourced content and community hub. We’re looking for someone to expand and scale it, as a founder would. As Head of Digital Engagement, you'll lead the platform’s growth, treating it like your own startup within our organisation. You’ll identify opportunities, move fast, test ideas, build sponsorship and funding streams, and grow a mission-aligned ecosystem.
If you’ve had success in a product, a platform, a community, or a venture and you’re driven by both mission and commercial impact, this role is for you.
Key Responsibilities:
1) Own and Grow the Platform
- Own the product vision and growth roadmap for Stewardship Commons. Set the direction, prioritize ruthlessly, and execute.
- Identify white spaces, test new ideas fast, and double down on what works. Build-measure-learn in practice, not just in theory.
- Define and track the metrics that matter — growth, engagement, revenue, and platform impact.
2) Build Revenue and Partnerships
- Hustle for sponsorships, funding, and commercial partnerships — pitch, close, and deliver.
- Build an ecosystem of corporates, foundations, institutions, and aligned partners who co-invest in the platform’s growth.
- Activate the community through programmes, events, and initiatives that create real value for members.
3) Incubate, Experiment, and Scale
- Treat every new initiative as a pilot. Design it lean, launch it fast, and scale what sticks.
- Operate resourcefully. Maximise impact with lean budgets, small teams, and creative problem-solving.
- Gather feedback, understand what the community needs, and iterate continuously.
Qualifications:
Must-have:
- A Builder: you’ve launched, grown, or scaled something: a product, platform, community, or venture.
- Commercially driven: you know how to open doors, close partnerships, and turn relationships into revenue.
- Entrepreneurial: you thrive in ambiguity, move fast, and don’t wait to be told what to do.
- Mission-aligned: you care about stewardship, sustainability, and building things that matter beyond profit.
- Data-informed: you set goals, track what matters, and make decisions based on evidence.
- Resourceful and resilient: you get things done without a big team or big budget behind you.
Nice-to-have:
- Start-up, incubator, or early-stage venture experience — as a founder, co-founder, or early hire.
- Familiarity with platform or marketplace business models (freemium, subscription, sponsorship-led).
- Background in stewardship, sustainability, impact investing, or purpose-driven business.
- Existing networks across corporate, innovation, or ecosystem communities in Asia.
