As the Head of Grocery & Retail, you will own the strategy, performance, and growth of Bolt Food Romania’s non-restaurant verticals. You will lead a team of Business Development Managers, manage the vertical P&L, develop strategic partnerships across grocery and retail, and work cross-functionally to deliver a scalable, profitable, and customer-centric business.

• <point> Define and execute the Grocery & Retail strategy for Romania, identifying growth opportunities, prioritising investments, and driving expansion across grocery chains and retail categories.</point>
• <point> Own the vertical P&L, setting performance targets, monitoring key business metrics, and ensuring sustainable growth and profitability.</point>
• <point> Lead, coach, and develop the Grocery & Retail team, establishing clear ownership, strong execution rhythms, and a high-performance culture.</point
• <point> Build and manage senior relationships with strategic partners, leading complex commercial negotiations, business reviews, and long-term growth plans.</point>
• <point> Oversee partner onboarding, integrations, store rollouts, catalog quality, operational readiness, and customer experience to ensure reliable execution at scale.</point>
• <point> Act as the local business owner for Grocery & Retail, collaborating with Operations, Growth, Marketing, Product, Finance, Legal, and Support teams to remove blockers and deliver business outcomes.</point>

<title>About you:</title>

• <point> 7+ years of experience in grocery, retail, e-commerce, marketplaces, FMCG, delivery, or other commercial leadership roles with ownership of business performance.</point>
• <point> Proven experience leading and developing teams, while managing senior stakeholders and enterprise-level partnerships.</point>
• <point> Strong commercial acumen with experience in negotiations, business development, category management, or strategic account management.</point
• <point> Comfortable owning P&L performance, analysing business data, building business cases, and making data-driven decisions.</point>
• <point> Able to navigate ambiguity, influence cross-functional stakeholders, and translate strategy into operational execution.</point>
• <point> Fluent in English and Romanian; experience in online grocery, digital retail, marketplace businesses, or large-scale retail partnerships is a strong advantage.</point>
