Head of Infrastructure/SRE
We are working with fast growing AI start-up that has achieved over 200M ARR in less than four years. Given the strong growth, they are looking for a Head of Infrastructure/SRE role be based in Singapore.
This is a highly technical + people management role, and as some of the team members are based in China, fluency in Mandarin is required for better communication.
What we look for:
• Architecture Planning: Responsible for selecting and evolving a global cloud infrastructure architecture (Multi-Cloud/Multi-Region) to support the horizontal expansion of AI operations.
• Platform Engineering: Lead the team in building an internal developer platform (IDP) to enhance capabilities for automated deployment, monitoring, and self-service alerts.
• Capacity and Performance: Oversee end-to-end stress testing, capacity planning, and performance optimization to resolve bottleneck issues under high concurrency.
• FinOps: Drive the sharing and optimization of cloud costs, establish resource allocation, and implement auto-scaling strategies.
• AI Transformation: Promote the AI transformation of the operations team to improve organizational efficiency.
Key Requirements:
- SRE / Platform Engineering Lead with end-to-end infrastructure ownership across CI/CD, observability, cloud infrastructure, and incident management.
- Strong full-stack infrastructure judgment is a hard requirement. The candidate must have solid hands-on expertise across CI/CD, observability, automation, and cloud infrastructure. Depth in one area is welcome, but there should not be any major blind spots.
- We place greater emphasis on candidates who have fully owned and delivered infrastructure systems end-to-end, rather than those who have only contributed to isolated components.
- Must be able to independently lead and drive the team from week one. There is limited room for a gradual ramp-up period or significant trial-and-error at the business level.
- Candidate should already be operating as a Tech Lead or Engineering Manager (not looking for an IC transitioning into management).
- Strong hands-on AWS experience is required; multi-cloud or GCP experience would be a plus.
