KEY ACCOUNTAIBILITIES
- Accountable as the Business Owner for Investment Outsourcing, conducting periodic performance reviews, risk assessments, and ensuring EFMs adhere to investment mandates, Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and BNM Outsourcing Guidelines.
- Accountable for ensuring investment portfolios comply with BNM guidelines, ALM & Market Risk Management Policy, Investment Policy, Asset Concentration Guidelines, Market Risk Guidelines, Liquidity Risk Management Policy, Sustainable Investment Guidelines and for FWD Takaful, Shariah compliance requirements.
- Accountable for managing the liquidity of investment portfolios to meet liability cashflow requirements, particularly under stressed conditions.
- Accountable for the identification, timely reporting, mitigation and timely rectification of investment breaches in accordance with the “Investment Breach Management Guidelines”.
- Accountable for integrating “Climate Risk for Investment” considerations into investment process and regularly monitor and assess the impact of climate risk on individual investments and portfolios as per the Climate Risk Management Policy.
- Accountable to ensure segregation of duties and funds regarding Shariah compliance (purification, fund segregation) adhering to IFSA 2013 requirements.
- Accountable for collaborating with stakeholders to ensure timely and effective support from the Investment team.
- Responsible for coaching, developing, and mentoring Investment team members to drive their career growth and professional development.
- Accountable for management of potential Conflicts of Interest (if any) between FWD Takaful Berhad and FWD Insurance Berhad portfolios, ensuring fair allocation of trades or deals if opportunities are limited.
- Accountable for maintaining and reviewing of the Investment Policy, Investment SOP, and Investment Management Framework.
JOB REQUIREMENT
- Minimum bachelor’s degree in Investment, Economics, Finance, Business or equivalent.
- Industry qualification preferred: Pasaran Kewangan Malaysia Certificate (PKMC Certification).
- Desirable Certifications/Qualification: Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Financial Risk Manager (FRM), or MBA.
- Minimum 10 years working experience in Investment/fund management with at least 5 years of investment management experience in Insurance/Takaful and minimum 5 years of people management experience.
- Excellent knowledge of investment management including trading of Sukuk, assets-liability management and cash management.
- Strong presentation skills and stakeholders’ management skills.
- Experience in using BPAM (Bond Stream) and Bloomberg for analysis, trading, positions updating and overall investment management.
- Versatile and dynamic, self-motivated, results driven, work well in teams, ability to deal with change and different level of stakeholders.
- Analysis and problem-solving skills - Able to identify and interpret information from a range of sources, generate a range of solutions, evaluate and choose the most appropriate option.
- Planning and organizing - sees priorities, plans the efficient use of resources, and monitors progress against objectives.
