Voice is becoming the primary interface for technology. For the first time in history, we can use natural language to control and interact with our devices, services, and applications, and we’re only at the beginning of the adoption of Voice and Physical AI across industries. Current voice interactions, however, still lack a fundamental human skill: nuanced understanding of audio scenes and environments. Navigating complex auditory scenes, distinguishing between multiple voices, or focusing on a main speaker are all part of the challenge of “teaching machines to hear like human beings.”
At ai-coustics, we’re building the audio intelligence layer and developer tooling to enable more robust and intelligent voice agents and Physical AI applications. Today, Voice AI companies like PolyAI, LiveKit, Telnyx, AssemblyAI or Telli use our SDK to prepare their agents for real-world acoustic challenges. Role Overview
We're looking for a Head of Marketing / Marketing Lead to own and scale ai-coustics' end-to-end marketing function as we define a new category in Voice AI infrastructure. Reporting directly to the CEO and partnering closely with Product, Engineering, and Sales/GTM, you'll set the strategy, build the team, and personally drive the work that establishes ai-coustics as the default reliability layer for Voice AI builders worldwide. You'll own positioning, demand generation, product marketing, content, brand, and developer marketing, and translate complex audio and AI capabilities into a sharp, technical narrative that resonates with developers, technical buyers, and executive decision-makers. This is a senior, hands-on leadership role for someone who has built and scaled marketing functions at high-growth B2B / developer-first startups and is ready to do it again with full ownership.
Tasks
- Category & positioning: own the narrative that makes ai-coustics the obvious answer for any team building on Voice AI
- Demand generation: design and operate the full B2B pipeline engine; set the targets, instrument the funnel, own the numbers
- Product marketing: launches, competitive positioning, sales enablement; you translate what engineering ships into something the market wants
- Developer marketing: content, community, and ecosystem presence across LiveKit, Pipecat, and the broader Voice AI platform layer
- Content & editorial: blog, technical guides, case studies, video, thought leadership; technically credible and built to perform
- Brand & category-building: events, PR, analyst relations, founder thought leadership
- AI-native marketing stack: instrument and automate the marketing workflow using AI tools as a first-class operating principle
- Team & budget: grow the team, manage the budget, hold agencies accountable
Requirements
- 4+ years in growth or performance marketing with real ownership, meaningful budget, measurable results; ideally you were an early marketing hire or ran the function at an early-stage company
- You make decisions based on experiments and data, not instinct and you can show your work
- You can lead and grow a team without losing your hands-on edge; you hold a high bar on speed, quality, and ownership
- You understand how developers discover and adopt technical tools and have built content and community motions that actually work for that audience
- You pick up new channels, concepts, and tools quickly and always have a pulse on what's actually working
- You use AI and automation as a force multiplier. If something can be automated, you automate it
- You've owned demand gen end-to-end and can point to its impact on pipeline
- Bonus: experience with Voice AI, speech, audio, real-time communications, or adjacent infra categories; experience supporting fundraising and investor / analyst relations
