Head of Product Management
Rockfon is seeking a Head of Product Management based at our head office in Chicago, IL (60638). This is a hybrid position with work from home option on Fridays and reports to the reports to the Vice President, Marketing & Business Development.
As the Head of Product Management, you’ll be responsible for the development and deployment of the Product Management function for Rockfon, N.A. You’ll have direct responsibility for all product areas while managing others through a focused Product Management team. You’ll continue to develop our Technical Service offering to become a leader in the market and manage the development of our Mono training platform across North America.

What You Will Be Doing
- Working with engineering and architectural teams, you’ll use your strong technical acumen and understanding of manufacturing operations to create product and system development plans in line with market needs and key goals and objectives, executing and launching in a timely manner across all product groups
- You’ll identify and develop key points of differentiation across products and services – including but not limited to segment portfolio development and service development (including elements such as CAD and BIM)
- Create and monitor reporting and strategy development for technical helpdesk service for architects, contractors and installers
- Create and implement a comprehensive training program for the complete portfolio (internal and external)
- Liaise cross functionally with Sales, Engineering, Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, Quality and the wider Marketing team
The Head of Product Management has a strong knowledge of the construction marketplace and deep knowledge of our products and systems in order to identify commercially viable opportunities to help define the overall product portfolio. You’ll own that portfolio from concept to market delivery utilizing or developing appropriate tools such as stage/gate.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in a construction related field
- Prior leadership experience with Product Management teams, strongly preferred
- Minimum of 5+ years within building products required; ceilings and acoustic solutions an advantage
- Demonstrated experience leading products through full product lifecycle: concept development, Stage-Gate processes, engineering validation, manufacture readiness, launch and end-of-life management.
- Experience utilizing Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and related systems to manage product data, product specifications and cross functional workflows.
- Strong interpersonal skills that facilitate communication with all members throughout the organization

The base salary range for this position is $155,000.00 – $165,000.00. Your base salary is determined based on location, experience and the pay of employees in similar positions. This position is bonus eligible.
