Head of Retail (Automotive)

Role Objective:

To lead, transform, and scale the retail business by driving sales growth, improving customer experience, optimizing operations, and repositioning the brand beyond tyres into a full automotive service provider.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Sales & Commercial Performance

  • Drive overall retail revenue, profitability, and same-store sales growth.
  • Develop aggressive sales strategies, promotions, and pricing frameworks
  • Set and monitor KPIs across all outlets (conversion, ticket size, upselling, etc.)

2. Retail Transformation & Branding

  • Reposition outlets from “tyre shops” to “one-stop automotive service centers”
  • Segment stores (e.g., premium/luxury vs mass market) with tailored offerings
  • Lead outlet upgrading, layout redesign, and customer experience improvements

3. Operations Excellence

  • Standardize SOPs across all outlets
  • Improve workflow efficiency, turnaround time, and service quality
  • Optimize manpower planning and productivity

4. Product & Service Expansion

  • Expand service offerings (maintenance, repairs, fleet services, etc.)
  • Introduce new revenue streams beyond tyres especially on walk in
  • Work closely with procurement on product mix and margin optimization

5. Digital & E-commerce Strategy

  • Lead development of e-commerce and omnichannel capabilities
  • Integrate online-to-offline journey (booking, pricing transparency, etc.)
  • Drive digital marketing initiatives to increase traffic and conversions

6. Team Leadership

  • Lead and develop outlet managers and frontline teams
  • Instill performance culture and accountability
  • Recruit, train, and retain high-performing talent

7. Partnerships & Business Development

  • Build relationships with Corp customers and insurers
  • Explore strategic partnerships to drive traffic and service demand

Key Requirements:

  • Strong retail and operations leadership experience (preferably multi-outlet)
  • Proven track record in driving sales growth and business transformation
  • Experience in automotive or related industries is a strong advantage
  • Commercially driven, hands-on, and results-oriented
  • Strong leadership and team management capabilities
