Head of Sales, Middle East & Africa (MEA)

TOMRA Food is seeking an experienced and strategic Sales Manager, Middle East & Africa (MEA) to lead one of our fastest-growing regions.

This is a senior commercial leadership role with responsibility for regional strategy, revenue growth, market expansion, and leadership of TOMRA Food's sales organisation across the Middle East and Africa.

The successful candidate will lead and develop a team of Area Sales Managers while driving profitable growth across multiple markets and customer segments.

This role requires both:

  • Proven capital equipment (CAPEX) sales experience within industrial sectors such as food processing, sorting, automation, or industrial machinery.
  • Demonstrated people management experience, including leading, coaching, and developing regional sales teams.

This position is not suitable for candidates seeking their first leadership role. Applicants must have experience in both CAPEX sales and sales team management.

As a member of the EMEA Sales Leadership Team, you will play a key role in shaping regional strategy and delivering sustainable growth across diverse markets and industries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute the regional go-to-market strategy to maximise growth and market share.
  • Lead, coach and develop a team of Area Sales Managers.
  • Grow TOMRA Food's key segments, while identifying opportunities in adjacent applications and emerging markets.
  • Build strategic customer relationships and secure new business opportunities.
  • Manage sales performance, forecasts, pipeline health, and commercial reporting.
  • Act as the senior commercial escalation point for critical customer issues.
  • Represent TOMRA Food to strengthen market presence and brand visibility.
  • Collaborate closely with internal departments to deliver an exceptional customer experience.
  • Promote a high-performance culture focused and ensure compliance with TOMRA's standards and values.

About You:

  • Degree in Engineering, Business, Management, or related, or equivalent industry experience.
  • Minimum 10 years' experience in CAPEX sales within industrial processing, food processing equipment, automation, sorting technology, packaging machinery, or related sectors.
  • Proven experience leading and managing sales teams in regional or international environments.
  • Track record of delivering complex high-value equipment sales across multiple countries and cultures.
  • Strong technical, commercial, and strategic capabilities, with the ability to translate vision into results.
  • Experience working with diverse customer groups including farmers, processors, manufacturers, distributors, and industrial clients.
  • Experience working with diverse customer groups and cross-functional teams in fast-paced international markets.
  • Fluent English is essential; other languages such as Arabic, Turkish and French are advantageous.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 100 days per year across the Middle East and Africa.
