Head of Service Nordics – drive growth across Pharma & Food

GEA Group – Engineering for a better world
As Head of Service Nordics, you will lead our Nordic service organisation within the Pharma & Food Applications division. You will lead the managers responsible for Service Execution & Planning, Field Service, Service Excellence & Support, and Service Sales. Together, these teams make up our Nordic service organisation of approximately 30 employees.

Responsibilities / Tasks

You will be responsible for translating global service strategies into regional execution across Denmark, Sweden, Norway and Finland. Working closely with local and global stakeholders, you will drive commercial growth, strengthen customer relationships and ensure a profitable, high-performing service organisation.

More specifically, you will:

  • Head all service activities in all Nordic countries for GEA PFA division, with full budget responsibilities
  • Lead the managers of the departments of service execution/planning with all Field Service technicians and department service excellence and support and department service sales, total group is 30FTE
  • Be responsible for coordinating and driving Service activities centrally and across Nordic countries (including set and track Sales targets, KPIs, performance)
  • Regionally lead and coordinate the Service business of BU based on globally provided BU targets / Budgets. Allocates resources and prioritize initiatives
  • Be responsible for developing a profitable and sustainable Service growth in the BU (steering the overall growth and profitability)
  • Implement and drive strategies and policies for Service activities in alignment with the overall organizational strategies. Sets, aligns and governs targets, processes, standards, methods and tools
  • Drive service sales development in the BU with focus on BU overall development in alignment with Equipment Sales (Value Sales driven TCO focus)
  • Coordinate global BU price strategy and approach (e.g. definition of minimum margins), aligning Sales and Service
  • Operationally manage business activities focusing on sustainably and profitability of organization, Improve the BUs Service market position and drives efficiency and effectiveness
  • Maintain extensive knowledge of the current Service market conditions, explore and analyze market trends
  • Identifie, evaluate and manage international Service opportunities

You should expect approximately 60-70 travel days across the Nordic region each year.

Your Profile / Qualifications

You combine strategic leadership with a hands-on approach and know how to translate business objectives into measurable results. With strong interpersonal skills and an understanding of the cultural differences across the Nordic countries, you build trust, develop leaders and create alignment across teams and stakeholders.

In addition, we imagine that you:

  • Have at least 5 years’ experience in similar role and environment and experience leading managers and larger organisations, with a proven ability to develop people and drive performance through others with a hands-on approach
  • Have knowledge of different Nordic cultures
  • Are target and result orientated with knowledge of financial reporting and data
  • Possess excellent customer relationship management skills and are comfortable engaging with both customers and senior stakeholders
  • Have strong analytical and reporting capabilities, including experience with digital reporting systems, KPIs and business performance management
