Head of Strategic Partner Development, RCS for Business

As a Strategic Partner Development Manager, you'll open doors with potential partners, lead exploratory discussions and evaluate/develop business opportunities. You will lead cross-functional teams, provide thought leadership and serve as a mentor to managers and associates. You are comfortable escalating and presenting business development strategies and key issues to senior management. You'll work closely with Google Product, Engineering, Legal and Sales teams on new product initiatives and key strategic relationships that support our online advertising business.

As the Head for RCS for Business Partnerships, you will be the premier architect, people leader, and commercial driver for the next generation of mobile conversational commerce. With a primary, high-priority focus on accelerating the US market while steering broader activities across the Americas (and other parts of the world), Google is fundamentally transforming consumer-to-business interaction through Rich Communication Services (RCS) across both Android and iOS devices. You will manage a high-performing team of partner managers and own the region's long-term commercial trajectory, ecosystem health, and facilitate agreements frameworks required to establish RCS as the common high-engagement business-to-consumer messaging channel in the US.

In this role, you will navigate a high-stakes, deeply consolidated, and rapidly evolving domestic communications ecosystem. You will lead your team and personally engage with executive leadership across AI-native botbuilders, major Martech platforms, Communications Platform as a Service (CPaaS) providers, and the world’s largest enterprise brands. You will architect the commercial models, pricing strategies, and policy environments required to scale the ecosystem sustainably. You will serve as the primary organizational bridge between US market realities and global product, engineering, and business leadership to scale the business.

The Global Partnerships organization is responsible for exploring new opportunities with Google's partners. Google’s Global Partnerships team works with a wide range of partners to bring the best of Google to power their business. The Global Partnerships team supports Google’s own Product teams with essential partnerships to help Google’s user experiences in advertising, Search, Assistant, Maps, Travel, Shopping, Payments and more. Teams create product-enabling partnerships, go-to-market strategies and incubate business growth for a variety of products.Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

US: $224000 - $312000 (USD) + 25% bonus target + equity + benefits

  • Manage and develop a high-performing, partner management team while owning the overall business health, business strategy, and multi-year domestic roadmap for RCS for Business in the US.
  • Drive alignment across engaging US market players to establish a frictionless RCS ecosystem, architecting scalable commercial, pricing, and policy frameworks.
  • Accelerate marquee Fortune 500 brand adoption by partnering with agent developers, aggregators, and Martechs to launch flagship conversational commerce and AI experiences.
  • Act as the primary bridge to global Product, Engineering, and Policy teams, translating US market dynamics and carrier/regulatory nuances into global requirements.
  • Represent Google as the preeminent RCS and business messaging expert at major US industry events, regulatory roundtables, and executive forums.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 15 years of experience in digital marketing and advertising, business development, partnership management, corporate development, or management consulting within the technology, SaaS, or telecommunications sectors.
  • 3 years of experience managing, hiring, or developing teams of partner managers, account executives, or business development professionals.
  • Experience leading multi-party commercial negotiations or structuring partner agreements with C-suite executives.
  • Experience in go-to-market (GTM) strategy within the United States market.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Proven experience building, coaching, and inspiring, high-performing partnerships or GTM teams in a changing, matrixed technology environment.
  • Strong experience leading large, cross-functional initiatives across Product, Engineering, Legal, Regulatory, Public Policy, and Sales teams.
  • Domain expertise across the US mobile messaging ecosystem (CPaaS, OTT, carrier networks), digital advertising, and conversational commerce.
  • Exceptional executive presence; a proven track record of pitching to, negotiating with, and influencing executive leadership internally and externally.
  • Track record of successfully architecting, launching, and scaling mature market ecosystems or transformational, multi-million-dollar digital products from incubation to scale.
