Job Summary:
The main responsibility of the Health and Safety Administrator is to provide support to Health and Safety programs. This includes assisting with inspections and incident forms, compiling case files, tracking compliance and certification requirements, tracking and compiling H&S statistical reports, supporting the Joint Health and Safety Committee(s).
Location: Clearway's Head Office – Maple, ON. This role will require occasional visits to Job Sites located across the Greater Toronto Area.
Hours of Operations: 8:00 am to 5:00 pm (EST)
Annual Salary: $55,000- $60,000 (Based on qualifications, experience and relevant skills)
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provide daily assistance to the Health and Safety team, including the Director of Health and Safety and division Health and Safety Managers in support of departmental and program objectives
- Track and maintain company statistics, including monthly, quarterly and annual KPIs
- Assist with coordinating Health and Safety training records and maintenance of records, including follow-ups on outstanding training assignments, incomplete training and end-user support
- Prepare Health and Safety communications such as Lessons Learned, Weekly Safety Meetings, Tool Box Talks, etc. for distribution
- Work with management to ensure effective processes are in place to minimize the impact of injuries on both employees and the organization (e.g. absenteeism rates, lost-time injury costs, etc.)
- Assist with the incident and injury reporting system and management system for worker's compensation as required by law
- Maintain claims management records and reports
- Other administrative or related duties assigned
Our ideal candidate:
- 1-2 years of experience working in a similar role
- Experience working in construction industry is a plus
- Degree/Certificate in related field
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- A strong passion for fostering a safe work environment
- Ability to get along well with a variety of personalities and individuals
- Strong PC skills including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Able to work under pressure with time constraints.
- Valid Driving License is required
