Health and Safety Business Partner

About the Role

We are seeking a full-time Health and Safety Business Partner based at Eastern Creek, with responsibility for supporting and servicing our Villawood operations, reporting directly to the Head of Safety.

In this role, you will be responsible for driving the proactive implementation and continuous improvement of Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) culture, strategy, and performance across the region. You will play a key part in embedding Team Global Express’s “Genuine Care” culture and supporting operational leaders to deliver safe, compliant, and high-performing sites.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive HSE cultural change initiatives aligned to the “Genuine Care” safety strategy

  • Support implementation and continuous improvement of the HSE Management System

  • Ensure compliance with HSE standards, legislation, and internal procedures

  • Develop, review, and support Site HSE Plans in partnership with operational leaders

  • Conduct site inspections, audits, and risk assessments across Eastern Creek and Villawood

  • Lead and support incident investigations (ICAM or similar) and corrective actions

  • Analyse HSE data and trends to identify improvement opportunities and prevent recurrence

  • Deliver HSE training, toolbox talks, and safety communications across sites

  • Maintain governance and data integrity within TRAC, TGE’s incident reporting system)

  • Support emergency preparedness, business continuity, and contractor management

  • Provide practical, expert HSE advice to site and regional leaders on operational risk and compliance

About You

  • 5–7 years’ experience in HSE roles within transport, logistics, or industrial environments

  • Strong knowledge of HSE legislation and ISO standards (45001 / 14001)

  • Experience conducting incident investigations using ICAM or similar methodologies

  • Confident influencing operational leaders and driving safety culture improvement

  • Strong analytical, communication, and reporting skills

  • Hands-on approach with the ability to work across multiple operational sites

Qualifications (Desirable)

  • Diploma or Degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related field

  • Certificate IV in Environmental Management

  • Internal Auditor qualifications (IRCA / Exemplar Global)

  • Dangerous Goods or transport safety qualifications
