Healthcare Assistant
Responsibilities:
- Provide home personal caregiving service to patients
- Attend to patients' needs in their daily living activities such as showering, diaper changing and light housekeeping
- Monitor basic vital signs such as temperature, blood pressure and blood sugar level
- Assist in transferring and positioning the patients
- Escort patients to their medical appointments
- Assist with conducting daily exercises for the patients as prescribed
- Remind patients to take their medications
- Provide oral/nasogastric tube feeding if competent
Requirements:
- Possess a WSQ Certificate in Healthcare Support or equivalent
- Prior experience in caregiving duties in hospitals, nursing homes or for individual parents is an added advantage but on-the-job training will be provided for those without experience
- Willingness and patience in taking care of others
- Able to commit to a 5-day work week including weekends and public holidays if assigned
- Preferably trained in BCLS+AED skills
- Candidates who are keen on a career switch would be considered
- Nursing students who are in their 2nd or 3rd-year of studies and those who can work only on weekends are welcome to apply for part-time or freelance positions
