High School Math Teacher
The High School Math teacher is responsible for providing engaging, rigorous, and Christ-centered instruction in mathematics. The teacher will inspire students to develop critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and a biblical worldview while preparing them for college, careers, and lifelong learning.
Essential Responsibilities:
Instruction and Curriculum
- Teach high school mathematics courses, which may include:
- Algebra I & II
- Geometry
- Pre-Calculus
- Statistics
- Consumer Math
- Develop lesson plans aligned with state standards and school curriculum.
- Differentiate instruction to meet diverse student learning needs.
- Integrate technology and hands-on learning experiences into instruction.
- Utilize data to monitor student progress and adjust instruction accordingly.
Christian Integration:
- Integrate biblical principles and a Christian worldview into daily instruction.
- Model Christian character and servant leadership in professional and personal life.
- Lead students in prayer and faith-based discussions as appropriate.
- Support the school's mission, vision, and statement of faith.
Student Development:
- Foster a positive classroom culture that promotes respect, responsibility, and academic excellence.
- Encourage creativity, collaboration, and innovation.
- Maintain effective classroom management and procedures.
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress and concerns.
Qualifications Required:
- Bachelor's degree in mathematics, STEM education, Engineering, Science, or other related field.
- Strong Christian testimony and commitment to Christian education.
- Ability to pass background screening.
