Responsibilities

• Elicit, document, and validate business requirements from stakeholders across multiple teams
• Write clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional specifications
• Facilitate discovery sessions and workshops with product managers, engineers, and designers
• Facilitate effort estimation with engineering and maintain release planning documentation when needed
• Produce release notes and team alignment summaries that map work to business objectives when necessary
• Own and maintain product documentation in Confluence and Jira
• Proactively identify gaps, risks, and dependencies — surface them early, not after the fact
• Support QA by reviewing test cases against acceptance criteria
• Build and maintain strong relationships with hipages AU-side stakeholders through clear, timely communication
• Adapt quickly to shifting priorities in a fast-paced marketplace environment
• Leverage AI tools (e.g. Claude) to accelerate documentation, analysis, and communication work

Qualifications

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or Product Owner
• Proven ability to work independently across multiple teams simultaneously
• Strong written and spoken English — B2+ level minimum; you will communicate daily with Australian stakeholders
• Advanced skills in business modeling, process flows, and wireframing tools (Figma, Miro, or similar)
• Proficiency in Jira and Confluence for requirements and documentation management
• Experience writing user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional specifications
• Strong stakeholder management — ability to set expectations, raise concerns early, and push back constructively when needed
• Demonstrated ownership mindset — you take accountability for outcomes, not just outputs
• UI/UX awareness with a user-centric approach
• Experience collaborating cross-functionally with engineers, PMs, and designers

Nice to Have

• Experience with marketplace or two-sided platforms
• Basic SQL or data analysis skills to self-serve on data questions
• Familiarity with AI tools and a growth mindset toward adopting new ones
• Experience working in distributed teams across time zones
• Background in subscription, billing, or e-commerce platforms
