Mō te Tūranga | About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our growing home lending division at BNZ, as a mobile Home Loan Partner. You’ll be out in the community, providing expert home lending advice, building trusted relationships, and helping customers navigate the full home loan journey — from first conversation and pre-approval through to approval, drawdown, and beyond.

We’re looking for someone who brings strong home lending experience, confidence creating and converting opportunities, and an established network they can tap into to generate quality leads. You’ll enjoy being proactive, visible, and connected — representing BNZ in a way that builds trust, grows our mobile presence, and positions us as a first choice for home lending.

What does a day in the life of a Home Loan Partner look like?

• Generating new home lending opportunities through your networks, referrals, and local market presence.

• Building trusted relationships with customers, introducers, and community contacts across the region.

• Guiding customers through the full home lending journey, from pre-approval through to drawdown.

• Preparing quality credit applications and working closely with internal teams to progress approvals.

• Following up leads, identifying customer needs, and creating a great experience at every touchpoint.

• Helping New Zealanders take meaningful steps toward their home ownership goals.

What is the most exciting thing about this role?

One of the most exciting parts of this opportunity is the chance to be alongside customers as they take one of the biggest and most meaningful steps in their lives — purchasing their own home. Home lending is personal, and you’ll see firsthand the impact your advice, care, and expertise can have as customers move from possibility to ownership. You’ll have the autonomy to build and grow BNZ’s mobile home lending presence across the region, while being supported by a high-performing team and a well-recognised brand.

What attributes will you bring to be successful?

You’ll be passionate about home lending and confident supporting customers through the entire journey, from early conversations and pre-approvals through to settlement. Because this is an acquisition-focused role, you’ll be a natural self-starter who enjoys getting out into the market, building connections, and turning relationships into quality lending opportunities. We are looking for:

• Strong home lending experience, with sound credit knowledge and confidence managing applications end to end.

• An established network across the region, with the ability to generate leads and build referral pathways.

• A proactive, resilient, and relationship-led approach, with the motivation to grow a strong personal brand.

• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to getting things right for customers the first time.

• A sound understanding of the local property market, including new builds, property development, and turnkey lending opportunities.

As this role services customers across the region, you’ll need to be comfortable travelling and meeting customers where it works best for them. A company vehicle is provided, and you must hold a clean and full driver licence.
