The Host/Hostess creates a welcoming first impression by greeting guests warmly, managing seating flow, and providing essential information to enhance the dining experience. This role supports smooth restaurant operations by coordinating reservations, maintaining organized dining areas, and ensuring guests feel valued from arrival to departure.
Greet guests promptly with a warm, friendly, and professional demeanor.
Provide menus, answer questions, and offer basic outlet and menu information to assist guests.
Assign guests to tables based on seating charts, server rotations, and guest preferences.
Maintain clean, organized, and properly set dining and service areas throughout the shift.
Receive, record, and manage guest reservations and waitlists accurately.
Communicate guest needs, special requests, and seating updates to servers and leadership.
Check in with guests to ensure satisfaction and address concerns promptly.
Support team members by assisting with coverage, communication, and guest flow.
Follow all company policies, grooming standards, and service procedures.
Perform additional duties or special assignments as required.
Strong verbal communication and guest service skills.
High school diploma or GED preferred.
Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment while maintaining professionalism.
Ability to read, write, and understand simple instructions.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships with guests and team members.
Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Ability to stand and walk for long periods.
Ability to lift up to 15 pounds and perform repetitive tasks.
Comfort working in environments with variable temperatures, lighting, noise, and potential exposure to smoke.
Ability to safely handle menus, seating tools, and basic service equipment.
