The Hostperson ("Recepcionista de Restaurante") welcomes our guests to the restaurant in a warm and enthusiastic fashion. Smiles and presents a professional appearance, manages reservations and works with other staff to meet guests' needs.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Review and anticipate reservations prior to guest arrival; address guests by name when possible.
  • Escort guests to their tables according to seating plans, engaging in light, friendly conversation.
  • Assist guests with seating by holding chairs in accordance with service standards.
  • Offer to take initial drink orders to expedite service when appropriate.
  • Manage the reservation system to optimize table turnover and guest satisfaction.
  • Maintain clean, updated, and appropriately stocked menus; replace worn or soiled menus promptly.
  • Answer telephone calls promptly (within three rings) using proper telephone etiquette.
  • Maintain accurate wait lists, ensuring guests are informed and comfortable while waiting.
  • Coordinate with the hotel concierge and other departments to accommodate special requests and enhance the guest experience.
  • Keep the host stand organized and stocked with necessary supplies.
  • Follow all safety, sanitation, and emergency procedures.
  • Performs additional duties and responsibilities as directed by the leadership team.
