About the job

Based at the Mandarin Oriental Downtown, Dubai within the Executive Office in Dubai, the Hotel Manager is responsible to oversee the operations of the hotel and provide professional advisory and executive support to the General Manager. Hotel Manager reports to the General Manager.


As a Hotel Manager, you will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Leading the day-to-day hotel operations, ensuring the delivery of exceptional and consistent guest experiences across all touchpoints
  • Driving operational strategy in alignment with the hotel’s business objectives, with a strong focus on service excellence, efficiency, and continuous improvement
  • Executing strategic initiatives in collaboration with the General Manager and key stakeholders, providing structured feedback and operational insights
  • Ensuring strong performance across all operational departments, including Rooms, Food & Beverage, Spa & Wellness, and Residences (if applicable)
  • Partnering closely with the Director of Residences to maximise integration and alignment between hotel and branded residences operations
  • Developing and mentoring department heads and emerging leaders, using structured performance management tools to drive accountability and growth
  • Building strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, including ownership, corporate teams, and local partners
  • Driving the hotel’s positioning within the Dubai market through strong awareness of competitors, guest trends, and evolving luxury expectations
  • Supporting community engagement initiatives and representing the hotel within the local business and hospitality community
  • Ensuring full compliance with company policies, brand standards, and local regulatory requirements

As a Hotel Manager, we expect from you:

  • Proven experience as a Hotel Manager or Director of Operations within a luxury or ultra-luxury hotel environment
  • Strong understanding of the Dubai or regional Middle East hospitality market is highly desirable
  • Demonstrated ability to lead large, multicultural teams in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Solid commercial awareness, with the ability to balance operational excellence with financial performance
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels
  • Highly organised, adaptable, and detail-oriented, with a hands-on leadership style
  • A strong commitment to delivering exceptional guest service aligned with Mandarin Oriental’s brand values
