Housekeeper

Purpose of the Job:

Maintain the cleanliness of the church facilities for planned church services, activities, and events in addition to regular office cleaning.

Experience and Knowledge Required:

  • Proven track record of effective time management
  • At least one year of previous housekeeping experience
  • Teachable spirit, strong work ethic, commitment to excellence
  • Ability to communicate with and delegate to volunteer housekeeping teams

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Dust, vacuum, mop and disinfect various spaces of Victory Church.
  • Areas to clean include but are not limited to:
  • Office Areas
  • Bathrooms
  • Auditoriums
  • Kids Rooms
  • Multi-Purpose Spaces
  • Lobby’s
  • Follow safety protocols to ensure self, staff and volunteers are in a safe and healthy environment (i.e. use wet floor signs, safe use of chemical cleansers).
  • Work with volunteer housekeeping team to maintain appropriate standard of cleanliness and delegate responsibilities when necessary.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Physical Demands:

  • Pushing and pulling up to 30 pounds.
  • Lift up to 30 pounds.
  • Reaching, bending, stooping, and handling objects with hands and / or fingers
  • Ability to climb a ladder or stepstool.
