THE ROLE OVERVIEW

We are seeking experienced Housekeeping Staff to join our team across diverse HHG properties situated within Happo One Resort. As a crucial member of our Housekeeping team, you will actively contribute to delivering outstanding guest service, upholding cleanliness and order, and ensuring an enjoyable stay for our patrons. The ideal candidate will exhibit effective communication, an inviting and approachable attitude, and the capacity to excel in a fast-paced environment.


HOUSEKEEPING STAFF DUTIES

  1. Room Maintenance: Thoroughly clean and maintain guest rooms, ensuring they are inviting and well-prepared. Restock amenities and essentials for guest comfort.
  2. Hygiene Standards: Adhere to stringent cleanliness and sanitation practices to create a safe and healthy environment. Follow established protocols for handling and disposing of waste.
  3. Linen Care: Handle and replace linens, ensuring they are clean and properly arranged. Coordinate with laundry services to maintain a steady supply of fresh linens.
  4. Guest Service Excellence: Provide friendly and attentive service to guests, addressing their needs courteously. Engage with patrons to understand their preferences and ensure a comfortable stay.
  5. Organizational Skills: Maintain orderly storage areas for cleaning supplies and equipment. Efficiently manage inventory to ensure availability of necessary items.
  6. Cleanliness and hygiene: Understand proper sanitation practices in a bar environment, including maintaining a clean and organized bar area, sanitizing utensils, and following health and safety regulations.
  7. Teamwork: collaborate effectively with other staff members, such as servers, kitchen staff, and management, to ensure smooth operations and exceptional customer experiences.


WHAT YOU NEED

  • Legal right to live and work in Japan (typically via a Working Holiday Visa)
  • Previous experience in housekeeping preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, evenings, mornings, weekends, and holidays, as per the requirements of the establishment
  • Ability to handle a fast-paced and dynamic work environment and to stand for long periods, lift heavy objects (such linen and furniture), and handle the physical demands of the job
  • Strong work ethic and a team first mentality
  • English fluency; Japanese a bonus
  • Driving license and International Driving Permit preferred
  • Ability to commit until March 31, 2027

HOUSEKEEPING STAFF SHIFTS

Housekeeping staff are expected to work up to 40 hours per week in flexible shifts over five or six days. Shifts will be predominantly scheduled for mornings and early afternoons.


ACCOMMODATION

HHG provides staff accommodation in central Hakuba (mainly in Happo Village, Wadano, and Kamishiro). Options include shared or private rooms depending on your role.
