Housekeeping Porter (Facchino ai Piani) F/M/X
Position Overview:
Our Housekeeping Porters play a crucial role in maintaining the impeccable standards of cleanliness and presentation expected at our 5-star luxury hotel. They support the housekeeping team by ensuring public areas, back-of-house spaces, and guest room corridors are spotless and orderly, contributing to an exceptional guest experience.
Main Activities:
- Assisting the housekeeping team with the timely delivery and collection of cleaning supplies, linens, and guest amenities according to hotel standards.
- Maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in all public areas including lobbies, corridors, restrooms, and service areas, ensuring a welcoming and pristine environment.
- Assisting in the removal and proper disposal of waste and soiled linens in compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Reporting any maintenance issues, damages, or safety hazards promptly to the Housekeeping Supervisor or Maintenance team.
- Supporting the set-up of guest room supplies and ensuring carts and storage areas are organized and fully stocked.
- Assisting with the smooth and efficient turnover of rooms during peak periods.
- Collaborating closely with Housekeeping, Front Office, and Maintenance departments to ensure seamless guest services and hotel operations.
- Adhering strictly to the hotel’s health, safety, and hygiene policies and procedures always.
- Responding promptly and courteously to guest requests and inquiries related to housekeeping services.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in housekeeping or porter roles in luxury or upscale hotels is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
- Good physical stamina and ability to handle manual tasks including lifting and moving supplies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a guest-oriented approach.
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends, holidays, and occasional nights.
- Basic knowledge of health and safety standards in hospitality settings.
