About the Role

As an HPS Engineer, you will be responsible for implementing and maintaining the Harman Production System (HPS) and factory-wide 5S standards in line with VDA 19.2 cleanliness requirements. You will coordinate the introduction of Lean tools across production, logistics, and support areas while leading training initiatives and continuous improvement projects. The role includes managing HPS audits, KPIs, databases, and supporting ergonomic and Kaizen activities. You will also oversee the employee suggestion system and ensure customer Lean expectations are effectively integrated into company processes.

What You Will Do

  • Responsible for the introduction, maintenance and harmonization of the factory-wide 5S system with cleanliness standards (VDA19.2) including the reporting and the KPI
  • Driving Site Lean Workshops/Kaizen weeks for faster enablement & establishment of lean culture.
  • Audit and maintain processes regarding the HPS Model.
  • Responsible for the introduction of elements of the Harman Production System
  • Responsible for teaching HPS tools and the Lean philosophy.
  • Coordinates the integration of Lean specific customer expectations into company processes
  • Perform gap analysis to identify deficiencies in business processes and recommending adjustments or processes
  • Contributes to the ergonomic development of production processes
  • Perform other duties and special projects assigned by the HPS Manager.

What You Need to Be Successful

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Technical Field
  • At least 3–5 years of manufacturing experience in a similar position
  • Lean knowledge (TPS, SMED, JIT, 5S, Kanban, Kaizen)
  • English language skills

Bonus Points if You Have

  • User-level computer skills (MS office)
  • Good communication and problem solving skills
  • Experience in digitalization
  • Knowledge of production IT tools is an advantage (tracking, planning, production support systems)
  • Proactive, cooperative personality
  • Ability to work in a team
  • Knowledge of IATF 16949 standard
  • Technical cleanliness understanding
  • Experience in electronics production
