HR & Gig Economy - Internship

This is a remote position.

A HR & Gig Economy Intern is a professional who assists in updating internal databases with new employee information like contact details and employment forms. Gathering payroll data such as working hours, leaves and bank account, screening resumes and application forms and managinga labor market that relies heavily on temporary and part-time positions filled by independent contractors and freelancers rather than full-time permanent employees.This role will also be assisting in office administration matter to ensure the operation of the business are running smoothly. Intern will be reporting directly to Managing Director of NENO.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Human Resources

a.Recruitment & Selection

·Assisting in company gig worker recruitment channel, its cost and process flows.

·Posting job advertisements to job boards and social media platforms.

·Updating or removing job advertisements from job boards and social media platforms once vacancies have been filled.

·Updating company databases by inputting new employee / gig worker / internship contact information and employment details.

·Screening potential candidates' resumes and application forms to identify suitable candidates to fill company job / gig vacancies.

·Assisting to organize interviews with shortlisted candidates.

·Preparing and sending offer and rejection letters or emails to candidates.

·Coordinating new hire orientations and its documentation.

  1. Performance Management

·Assisting parts of service operation by ensuring the Gig Worker completes and updates their job checklist.

·Updating and retrieval of individual gig workers’ job performances in system.

·Assist with regular performance review.

  1. Learning & Development

·Assisting with gig worker 1 hour / few hours / few days of Onboarding session, offline and / or online.

·Assisting in the planning of company events, if any.

·Updating and retrieval of individuals gig workers’ talk / seminars / training / certification / program attendance.

  1. Succession Planning

·Assist to identify the job succession planning, in working or gig economy environment.

·Assist with identify candidates / talents / gig workers’ potential with any of these roles – Servicing, Advisory, Content Writing, Training

  1. Compensation & Benefits

·Assisting with daily / weekly / monthly gig workers’ service allowance payment.

·Responding to staff inquiries regarding NENO Intern / Employee / Gig Worker policies, compensation, benefits, and other HR-related matters.

·Assist the administration of takaful / insurance coverage and mental health session for the gig workers.

  1. HR Information System

·Provide general administrative support.

·Maintain electronic document in HR System as well as Google Docs.

·Perform data entry and scan documents.

·Maintain contact lists.

·Assist in resolving any administrative problems.

  1. HR Data & Analytics

·Assist with gathering market salary information related to mobile / home healthcare industry

·Assist with gathering updated inputs / news related to HR / Gig Economy Management in Healthcare

  1. Administration

·Access to NENO email and respond to HR / Gig Economy functions related queries.

·Assist with office supplies orders and research new deals and suppliers relating to HR / Gig Economy functions.

·Establish and maintain all database of BOD members, employees, interns, gig workers and other stakeholders relating to HR / Gig Economy functions.

·Understand and document existing business processes and propose ways to improve a more efficient work activity.

Gig Economy

a. Gig Management

·End-to-end process of job posting regarding gig opportunity.

·Acceptance the gig application job.

·Reporting their job as post mortem (Daily/ weekly/ monthly).

·Payment regarding the gig worker which assigned the job their availability andafter job completion with payment made within 3 to 5 days.

·ProvideSOCSO Self-Employment Social Security Scheme and other benefits for gig workers (once confirmation by taking 3 times job with NENO) for gig insurance.

·Checking the gig worker either they have a criminal case or no criminal records at Royal Police Malaysia (PDRM).

b. Learning & Training

·Onboarding the gig worker.

·On-The Job Training to the gig worker.

·Giving a short course to gig worker.

·Making and giving the certification to them.

c. Planning Management

·Give option to take up Hourly / Daily / Monthly Job to gig worker which is provide as flexible working hour.

·Provide job take to gig worker within 15 to 30 km radius from your location.


Requirements

Requirement

  • Diploma / Degree in Office Management, Human Resource, Business Management, Information Management or related field
  • Highly proficient with of Office 365, Google and Zoho One
  • Highly organized and excellent attention to detail with high motivation to learn
  • Excellent communication, administrative, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written, verbal, presentation skills
  • Ability to think critically and problem solve
  • Capacity to work as an independent individual contributor and cooperative teammate
  • Time management, organizational skills, and detail-oriented
  • Understanding the foundational concept and working knowledge of Human Resource Management
