Role Summary:Dawn Meats is a premium meat processor and supplier of choice for a range of leading supermarket, foodservice and restaurant businesses. Established in 1980, Dawn Meats is an industry leader with annual revenues of over €4.5bn, employing over 12,000 staff in 13 countries and exporting to over 70 countries. We are currently recruiting a HR Graduate to join the HR team and provide support to the site from a Human Resource function.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be based at our Charleville production plant and will have the following key duties and responsibilities:

  • Support the delivery of HR activities across the employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations and performance management.
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of employee documentation in collaboration with Shared Services.
  • Maintain HR records in line with GDPR and internal data standards.
  • Produce and analyse HR reports on absenteeism, turnover, working time and leave.
  • Support employee relations processes, including investigations and disciplinary procedures.
  • Build strong relationships with line managers and employee representatives to promote positive employee relations.
  • Act as a key user of the HR system (CoreHR), supporting data accuracy and reporting.
  • Assist with international recruitment and administration of employment permits for non-EU employees.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, employment legislation and ethical audit requirements.
  • Provide timely support on employee queries, HR projects and general HR activities.

Qualifications

The role will see the successful candidate tackle a wide range of business challenges in a busy fast paced HR environment. The ideal candidate will have or demonstrate:

  • Third-level qualification in Human Resources, Business or a related discipline.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (particularly Excel and Word).
  • Interest in developing a career in HR, with a proactive and positive approach to learning.
