Job Description:
Parsons is looking for a talented HSE Director to support our Dubai business. In this role you would provide senor professional oversight, technical guidance, training and support to one or more of Global Business Units (GBU’s) and project based HSE Managers. The HSE Director would receive assignments in terms of broad objectives from the Corporate Vice President of SH&E.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Develops, communicates, and oversees Parsons’ Environment Safety Health and Risk Program (ESHARP) Management at all project locations
- Provides assistance to business unit managers regarding health and safety regulations, reporting requirements, safety training, and other related issues.
- Monitors the effectiveness of health and safety programs, conducts investigations, and complies internal reporting and recordkeeping requirements and workers compensation claim procedures.
- Lead or oversee investigations of serious incidents, near-misses, and non-compliances; ensure robust root-cause analysis, corrective and preventive action planning, and organizational learning across projects.
- Coach, mentor, and manage project HSE Managers and other safety professionals across locations; fostering a collaborative, high-performing HSE community of practice.
- Support the integration of HSE considerations into project planning, design reviews, constructability reviews, and risk assessments to reduce risk at source
- Collects and maintains safety information and statistics for all business units and operations.
- Ensure senior management is informed of significant internal and external developments regarding health and safety.
- Assists business development personnel as required with the development and support of proposal data.
- Train all levels of the organization in key company safety training programs
What Required Skills You’ll Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety and health or closely related field (or equivalent experience)
- 12+ years of related work experience in the field of safety and health
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP)
- Supervisory experience with managing safety professionals on multiple project locations
- Exceptional interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
- Extensive knowledge of domestic and international safety standards
- Ability to supervise and manage safety professionals located throughout the organization domestically and internationally
What Desired Skills You’ll Bring:
- Master’s degree in occupational safety and health or closely related field
- Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH)
