Human Resources Advisor
Are you an experienced HR professional with a background in the resources sector? Do you enjoy working closely with operations and making a real impact on people and performance?
We’re looking for a Human Resources Advisor to join our team in Paget. This is a hands-on role supporting a busy workforce where no two days are the same.
About the role
You will work closely with leaders across the business to provide practical, timely HR support. This includes employee relations, recruitment, and helping managers build strong, capable teams.
You will support the full employee lifecycle, from hiring through to performance management and development, while making sure everything is compliant and done the right way.
What you’ll be doing
- Partner with managers to provide day-to-day HR advice and support
- Manage employee matters such as performance issues, conduct, and workplace concerns
- Lead and support workplace investigations with fairness and consistency
- Deliver end-to-end recruitment, including high-volume hiring when needed
- Generate employment contracts, letters of offer, contract amendments and position descriptions
- Support workforce planning and help managers attract and retain the right people
- Ensure HR processes and records are accurate and audit-ready
- Provide guidance on policies, procedures, and employment legislation
- Identify trends and suggest improvements to HR processes
- Support HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives
About you
You’re confident, practical, and able to work in a fast-paced operational environment. You enjoy building relationships and helping leaders make good people decisions.
We’re ideally looking for someone who:
- Has experience in a similar HR role, preferably in resources, mining, or industrial environments
- Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, or related field.
- 3-5 years demonstrated experience in a similar HR advisory role with a strong focus on ER and IR.
- Sound knowledge of Australian employment legislation, industrial awards, and Fair Work regulations.
- Previous Workday experience highly desirable
- Has experience managing employee relations matters end-to-end
- Has delivered end-to-end recruitment, including bulk or volume hiring
- Communicates clearly and builds trust with stakeholders at all levels
- Is organised, detail-focused, and able to manage competing priorities
