Human Resources Business Partner
Worthington Enterprises is seeking an experienced Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to support our Maize manufacturing facility. This role serves as a trusted advisor to employees, leaders, and the management team while helping drive a culture centered on Worthington's People First philosophy.
The ideal candidate is a visible and approachable HR leader who enjoys building relationships across the organization while providing consistent guidance, sound judgment, and accountability. This position requires a strategic thinker who can balance employee advocacy with business needs and thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Because our facility operates 24/7 with production shifts running, flexibility is required to regularly support employees and leaders across all shifts.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with leaders to drive employee engagement, performance and retention
- Coach managers on employee relations, performance management, conflict resolution, corrective action, and employee development.
- Lead complex employee relations investigations and provide recommendations for resolution.
- Support talent management initiatives including workforce planning, succession planning, leadership development, and career growth.
- Partner with hiring managers and recruiting resources to attract, select, and retain top talent.
- Review bi-weekly payroll for accuracy and consistency
- Lead employee engagement efforts, culture initiatives, and action planning activities.
- Analyze workforce trends and HR metrics to identify opportunities and improve business performance.
- Partner with HR leadership on compensation planning, pay administration, and benefit-related programs.
- Ensure compliance with employment laws, company policies, and HR best practices.
- Provide guidance to leaders regarding legal, regulatory, and policy-related matters.
- Oversee workers' compensation matters and partner with internal and external resources as needed.
- Support training, development, and safety initiatives that strengthen employee capability and organizational effectiveness.
- Serve as a key HR resource for employee communications, organizational change, and site-wide HR initiatives.
- Act as the company's HR representative within the local community and support community engagement activities.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field preferred.
- 5+ years of progressive HR experience, preferably in a manufacturing or multi-shift environment.
- Strong knowledge of employee relations, employment law, talent management, compensation practices, and organizational development.
- Experience conducting workplace investigations and coaching leaders.
- HR certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP) preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HRIS systems.
