Job Title

Associate

Job Description

The Human Resources Associate will partner closely with Regional HR Business Partners for Corporate Functions and Private Wealth to support the execution of priority talent and organizational initiatives across the region. This role is designed to provide leverage to the HRBP team through strong execution, data analysis, insight generation, project tracking, and high-quality follow-through on defined workstreams, and will focus on supporting the highest-priority work where disciplined analysis, coordination, and execution can improve outcomes.

The successful candidate should expect to spend a meaningful portion of their time, particularly in the early stage of the role, on hands-on execution, coordination, data preparation, materials development, and follow-up. These activities are an important foundation for building business context, stakeholder credibility, HR judgment, and the ability to take on broader ownership over time. This role provides a progression path for a high-performing Associate to build toward more senior HRBP responsibilities over time. As the Associate builds capability and demonstrates sound judgment, the role is expected to evolve toward greater ownership of defined workstreams, increased contribution to insight generation, and more independent management of discrete deliverables

Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Support Regional HRBPs in advancing key talent and organizational priorities, including performance management, engagement, diversity, mobility, onboarding integration, and other critical people initiatives.

  • Execute defined components of HRBP priorities with strong attention to detail, follow-through, and ownership of agreed deliverables.

  • Track progress against priority initiatives, monitor milestones, identify gaps or risks, and escalate issues to HRBPs in a timely and structured manner.

  • Prepare, organize, and analyze workforce data, including headcount, attrition, performance, diversity, and other people metrics, to help identify trends, surface risks, and support recommendations.

  • Proactively identify and share AI driven analytics, automation, and AI-enabled tools where appropriate to improve the speed, quality, and consistency of analysis and materials.

  • Develop dashboards, trackers, summaries, and presentation materials that help HRBPs and business stakeholders understand key workforce themes and progress against priorities.

  • Support the translation of data and observations into clear, practical insights, with guidance from HRBPs and senior team members.

  • Coordinate across HRBPs, Global Talent Development, HR Operations, Legal, mobility specialists, and other HR partners to support timely execution of talent and people initiatives.

  • Support onboarding and integration for new hires, including check-ins, onboarding plans, and follow-up actions, with a focus on helping identify assimilation risks early.

  • Coordinate global mobility matters with mobility specialists to help ensure a seamless employee experience, escalating exceptions, risks, and complex cases as appropriate.

  • Support HR initiatives requiring awareness of local regulations by helping identify potential issues and partnering with HRBPs, Legal, and relevant specialists to implement appropriate solutions.

  • Project manage defined components of priority HR projects, including maintaining timelines, coordinating inputs, preparing materials, tracking decisions, and ensuring follow-up actions are completed.

  • Contribute to process improvements by identifying opportunities to simplify, streamline, or improve recurring HRBP activities, tools, and reporting.

  • Prepare clear, concise, and polished materials for HRBP and stakeholder discussions, ensuring outputs are accurate, well-structured, and appropriate for the audience.

Qualifications

Blackstone seeks to hire highly motivated individuals who demonstrate intelligence, excellence, sound judgment, and a strong ownership mindset in their previous endeavors.

In addition to exceptionally strong organizational skills, the successful candidate should have:

  • Minimum of 6 years of HR experience in a fast-paced environment, ideally within a matrixed global organization.

  • Strong foundation in HR processes, concepts, and practices, with the ability to apply them to business-driven talent priorities.

  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to organize data, identify patterns, and support insight generation.

  • Comfortable working with workforce data and people metrics, including headcount, attrition, performance, diversity, and engagement-related information.

  • Strong Interest and progressive user of analytics, automation, and AI-enabled tools to improve the speed, consistency, and quality of analysis and outputs.

  • Strong execution and project management skills, including the ability to manage timelines, coordinate inputs, track follow-ups, and deliver high-quality work.

  • Strong critical thinking skills, with the ability to identify issues, ask thoughtful questions, understand root causes, and develop practical recommendations with guidance.

  • Sound judgment, discretion, and ability to handle sensitive information appropriately.

  • Ability to operate in a global matrix organization and collaborate effectively across HR and business functions.

  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to prepare clear written summaries, polished materials, and concise updates for HRBP and stakeholder discussions.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills, with the ability to synthesize information into clear, well-structured outputs.

  • A growth mindset and willingness to build capability through both execution-oriented work and increasing exposure to strategic HR priorities.
