Human Resources Officer - Metsi Berries

We are looking for a motivated and detail\-oriented Human Resources Officer to join our team. This role plays a key part in supporting our operations by delivering effective HR services and ensuring the successful implementation of HR strategies aligned with our business objectives.

Payroll Administration<\/b>
<\/div>
  • Maintain accurate employee records on Farm Costing Solutions (FCS) to ensure correct payroll processing.<\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Verify daily clock\-ins and obtain manager sign\-off.
    <\/li>
  • Prepare payroll data for processing in SAGE Payroll.
    <\/li>
  • Review payroll outputs and ensure accurate payslip distribution.
    <\/li>
  • Resolve payroll queries and payment discrepancies.
    <\/li>
  • Liaise with Payroll Office to ensure timely salary processing.

    Recruitment & Employee Induction<\/b>
    <\/div>
    • Coordinate the recruitment and onboarding process for wage employees.
      <\/span><\/li>
    • Prepare employment contracts and ensure all documentation is complete and compliant.
      <\/li>
    • Facilitate employee induction sessions and maintain training records.
      <\/li>
    • Support improvements to the employee induction programme.
      <\/li><\/ul>
      Training & Employment Equity<\/b>
      <\/div>
      • Coordinate skills development and training initiatives in collaboration with the OZblu Academy.
        <\/span><\/li>
      • Assist with training needs analysis for employees.
        <\/li>
      • Capture and prepare information for Workplace Skills Plan (WSP) and Employment Equity submissions.
        <\/li>
      • Coordinate Skills Committee and Employment Equity meetings.
        <\/b><\/li><\/ul>
        Industrial Relations<\/b>
        <\/div>
        • Provide guidance to management on labour legislation and HR policies.<\/span>
          <\/li>
        • Ensure consistent application of HR policies and procedures.
          <\/li>
        • Manage basic disciplinary processes and hearings.
          <\/li>
        • Assist with CCMA documentation and proceedings.
          <\/li>
        • Coordinate union visits and act as the site\u2019s HR liaison.
          <\/li><\/ul>
          General HR Support<\/b>
          <\/div>
          • Assist employees with HR queries relating to policies and procedures.<\/span>
            <\/li>
          • Coordinate Health and Safety meetings and maintain records.
            <\/li>
          • Support operational HR initiatives and complete ad\-hoc HR projects as required

            Requirements<\/h3>
            • Diploma or Degree in Human Resource Management, Industrial Relations or a related field
              <\/span><\/li>
            • 3\u20135 years\u2019 experience in a Human Resources role
              <\/li><\/ul>
              Knowledge & Technical Skills<\/b><\/span><\/span>
              <\/div>
              • Knowledge of South African labour legislation including BCEA, LRA, Skills Development and Employment Equity Acts
                <\/span><\/li>
              • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
                <\/li>
              • Experience with SAGE Payroll and Farm Costing Solutions (FCS) will be advantageous
